Hodnocení hráče: Horrorový sandbox, jedna z her, která mě přivedla k ameritrash hrám. Reálně bych z dnešního pohledu hodnocení o cca půl hvězdy snížil, ale neudělám to, páč přes některé dnes překonané mechaniky nabízí něco co se následovníkům nepodařilo a to je volnost hry. Arkham Horror druhá edice je opravdový sandbox, hra může být brutálně rychlá nebo trvat hodiny, může být nevyhratelná nebo naopak celkem pohodka. Vše záleží na tom, jak se sejdou události, monstra, hody kostknou, získané předměty, karty setkání atp. a přesto to vše funguje perfektně. Hru jsem hrál po letech znovu a je prostě pořád báječná.

Hodnocení hráče: Parádní simulace (před)válečné Evropy. V této hře si můžete vyzkoušet jak by Evropa vypadala, kdyby... Válka může vypuknout v roce 1936 nebo nemusí vypuknout vůbec, nacistické Německo a Stalinův Sovětský svaz mohou zůstat nepřiznanými spojenci celou hru nebo se Neměcko spokojí s anexí menších států, upře svou diplomacii k udržení USA mimo dění a zkusí urvat ekonomické vítězství? Díky kartám je každá hra jiná, jinak vyvíjí diplomatická situace, mocnosti mají k dispozici jiné technologie, vznikají jiné konflikty než v předchozích hrách. Bloky pak zajímavě simulují válečný chaos, chystá se váš soupeř na blokádu středozemního moře nebo jeho blok skrývá "jen" hlídkující letadla. Soustředění sil v Anglii předznamenává silní expediční sbor a nebo jde o shromáždění mohutné flotily, která má za úkol provádět blokádu obchodních cest. Hra vyžaduje více zahrání, pravidla jsou napsaná poměrně dobře, ale je jich hodně a ikdyž jsou většinou poměrně logická a intuitivní, pár výjimek se najde.
